ISO5851: ISO 5851 EVM

Part Number: ISO5851

I want to use ISO 5851 EVM to control 10 MOSFETs (Infineon IRFB3077PbF) in serie, using TTL signal as an inpu to "ISO 5851 EVM".
Should I simplyMy question is how should I do that?

If you look at manual here "datasheet.octopart.com/ISO5451DW-Texas-Instruments-datasheet-48586567.pdf"
should I use any of those circuits on page 18? and does my TTL signla goes to HI+ HI-?

  • Hi,

I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean 10 mosfets in series? Or in parallel?

For MOSFETs, typically don't require negative voltage on the gate drive, so Figure 19 of the d/s is good. If in parallel, each MOSFET should have it's own gate resistor, RG, shown in Figure 19.

The inputs are CMOS-compatible, for a high to be recognized, you need to drive the input pins >0.7*VCC1, and for a low to be recognized, you must pull the input pins <0.3*VCC1.

I suggest you always get your data sheets from ti.com. Octopart may not have the latest version on their website. I don't know how often they mine our web to pull new copies.
