TPS2551: TPS2551 alternative with similar output current

Hi Team, 

This is customer case, I would be very happy you can assist.

My customer is interested for TPS2551DRVT but as i see this p/n is not recommended for new designs so i proposed them TPS2553 but the feedback was:

The footprints of the integration you recommend seem appropriate. However, the calculations required for the output current protection are different. Therefore, I cannot use the product you have just proposed in this design.

So do you think if we have any alternative or we should remain with TPS2551.
