Hi ,

We would like to measure current consumption from battery on our system.

I connected a KEITHLEY source meter with 4.0V output, and 1.05A current limit to replace Li-ion battery.

However, the system could not power on successfully as we used a normal battery.

Also, I can see the same phenomenon on BQ25150 EVM.

After that, I found if I use a DC, lab power supply, Keysight, E3634A, there is no issue.

Not sure what is the problem between source meter and DC power supply?

Hello,

You need to hold /MR pushbutton to exit shipmode. The device enters shipmode upon battery insertion.

Hold down shipmode for at least 2 seconds.

Hi Raheem,

I tired to hold MR button to exit ship mode while connected source meter to BAT pin on BQ25150 EVM, but it was not workable.

However, when I replace power source from source meter to a lab. power supply, and a Li-ion battery, it was no problem.

Hello,

Can you double check to make sure the sourcemeter is not clamping voltage. What is the voltage measurement on VBAT?
