TLE4275-Q1: PHASE MARGIN IS TOO LOW LOOKING FOR ALTERNATIVE WAYS TO IMPROVE IT

Part Number: TLE4275-Q1

Hello all,

I am doing stability analysis for the TLE4275 -Q1 IC by NON INVASIVE METHOD,

MY PHASE MARGIN MEASURED IS 8 DEGREE It is too low to pass the requirement

I have tried adding 1 Ohm Resistor in Series with the alll 3*10uF(0805) Capacitor(OUPUT CAPACITOR =30uF of which 10uF Each)

I am getting just 10 degree Phase margin now,

Can anyone please propose the suitable method to Increase my Phase margin

  • Hello Abirami,

You may not have enough capacitance on the output.
The TLE4275-Q1 requires at least 22uF of output capacitance.
Each ceramic capacitor will lose significant capacitance due to initial tolerances, environmental conditions, and voltage bias.
The bias alone can cause significant capacitor loss, even 50% or more.

I would suggest adding a 4th 10uF ceramic capacitor onto the output and retesting.
If this does not work, please let me know the output voltage, the rating of the capacitors, and confirm that you are using X5R or X7R dielectric capacitors.

    Thanks,
