TPS2055A: the output pin doesn't toggle.

Part Number: TPS2055A

Hi,

I Have this following Design and when I disable the EN pin ( U7- Pin4) the output (pin 8) doesn't go to zero. I test the Chip separately ( lift the 3 pins 6-7-8 off the pads from the PCB board) and the chip mostly working fine with noisy output. but with this design, the output only toggles between3.3to 2.8 instead of zero.

Could you please help me to understand the problem.

Thank you

-Mitra

  • Hi Mitra,

I think this part doesn't have output discharge function.

The voltage is the remaining charge from last time powering at output cap.

You can disable and short output. Then Enable.

For TI's policy, I will first click resolved button.

If you have any other concern, contact me any time.

If you think resolved, please help click 'Issue is solved button'.

    Thanks.
