The TPS92511 data sheet does not list the absolute maximum output current rating.

Please tell me the margin of output current 500mA against the absolute maximum rating.

Of course, I know that the output current is limited by RIADJ.

Hello Akiyoshi,

The maximum current for this part is 500 mA. Absolute maximum ratings are there for destructive limits such as voltage breakdown or internal current clamp limits. There are other parts that are capable of higher current, TPS92512, TPS92513, TPS92515 as well as other.

Hello,

I'm not sure what you mean. If you are planning on driving over 500 mA I would look at the other parts listed above. If you are planning on driving 500 mA or less, within the part limitations, the TPS92511 should work fine.
