TPS386000-Q1: RESET delay time

Part Number: TPS386000-Q1

Hi TI-team

My customer want to know RESET(Tw) delay time.

What is the delay time under the following conditions ?

Apply 370mV to the SENSE pin and set it to 420mV at a slew rate of 200μs.

Best Regards,

Koji Hayashi

  • Hi Koji-san,

The spec (tw) you are mentioning is related to the minimum pulse width required to detect a pulse on the device. This must be 4us. Do you mean delay time (td)?

    Thanks,
    Abhinav.

  • Hi Abhinav-san

    Thank you for quick response.

    Sorry, I  had a misunderstanding.

They want to know the delay time.(Not tD RESETn or RESETn delay time :20ms or 300ms)

The red circles in the figure below.

What is the delay time under the following conditions ?

Apply 370mV to the SENSE pin and set it to 420mV at a slew rate of 200μs.

Also, there is no mention of this delay in the data sheet.

Where can I find it ?

(The slew rate does not have to be 200 μs.)

  • Hi Abhinav-san

My customer is waiting for the answers to these questions.

  • Hi Abhinav-san

    I summarize the questions.

1.When RESETB is high (during normal operation), what is the time from when SENSE falls below VIT to when RESETB goes low ?

2.Apply 420mV to the SENSE pin and set it to 370mV with a 200μs slew rate.
Time from VIT to RESETB:H⇒L at this time. (Time to detect the same as No.1)

    Could you answer ?

Please tell me if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,

    Koji Hayashi

  • Koji-san,

We are working on answering these questions specifically. For the TPS386000-Q1, we do not have this propagation delay characterized in the datasheet. As such, I have reached out to designers for more info. We need to wait on their response to see if they have further insight.

    Thanks,

    Abhinav.
