BQ24735: What does LEARN mode do?

Hello,

I can't find any information on what the outcome of running the LEARN function on BQ24735 is and how long it takes to run it?

Could it be used to quickly test the mAh of connected cells?

I read that section but it doesn't give me the time it takes and if I get out a mAh value from the battery.

Hi Westlund,

There is no fixed timing for the charger to exit the LEARN cycle. The host can set ChargeOption() bit [6] = 0 to exit the LEARN mode right away. The charger automatically exits LEARN cycle when the battery voltage is below battery depletion threshold which is set by ChargeOption() bit [12:11].
