TPS54719: Power good pin of TPS54719

Part Number: TPS54719

Hi Team,

Normally I found that power good pins are pulled up to output of the switcher, but here it's connected to the Input source. As per mu knowledge Power good is enabled only after the output voltage came 50 or some%
My question is that ok If I connect the power good to the output of the switcher?

Beat Regards,
Tom Liu

  • Hello Tom,

There is in general no rule regarding what voltage is connected to your pull-up resistor of your Power Good pin.

This would depend of the use case of your application, VIN or VOUT or an external voltage which is greater than 0.8V can do the trick.

In the datasheet is mentioned: "It is recommended to use a pull-up resistor between the values of 1kΩ and 100kΩ to a voltage source that is 6 V or less." . And greater than 0.8V.

So going back to your question, yes you can connect it to the output voltage for this matter.

    Thanks a lot!

    Best regards,
    Dorian
