REF5050: Resistor in series with output cap is required?

Part Number: REF5050

Hi team,

In some ADCs, a resistor is added in series with output cap. For example, please see  the schematic of ADS8681EVM(https://www.ti.com/tool/ADS8681EVM-PDK).

In this EVM, 0.22 Ohm is added in series with output cap.

Customer is trying to use REF5050 as reference voltage for comparator and they want to understand the series resistor is required and the reason why it is required/not required. Could you please answer on these?

Regards,

Noriyuki Takahashi
