TPS259824OEVM: About the ILIM output current and the selection of R(ILIM) wattage

Hi team,

We have chosen the current limit, ILIM=12.48A by setting R(ILIM)=118Ω.

I concern the R(ILIM) wattage.

In datasheet(p4) , there is the description ILIM pin type is Analog Output.

But, I couldn't find DC characteristics(output current) of ILIM pin.

Q1. Would you tell me the maximum power consumption of R(ILIM) In above case?

Q2. Would you let me know the output current from ILIM pin?

Hi Akita,

The current flowing in the ILIM pin will be a scaled down current on load current flowing in the internal FET.

It is a very small value and the IILIM:IOUT ratio will be around few 100's of uA/A.

You should be able to use 0402, 1/16W resistor for RILIM.
