LP5910: Drop out voltage concern

Part Number: LP5910

Hi Team,

Customer has concerns of LP5910 drop out voltage:

We want to change 1.1V/3A buck to LDO and LDO input connect to 1.35V

1. LP5910 minimum operation voltage is 1.3V. Is there any lower voltage part?

1.35V output spec range is 1.283~1.49V. LDO voltage drop will be a concern.

Maximum 1.1V current is 170mA

2. Please also provide LP5910 voltage drop out VS loading current curve at 1.1V output w/ 25C and 125C.

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Patty

  • Hi Patty,

I think that the TPS7A10 would be a better part here. One key difference is that it requires a VBIAS rail which needs to be higher than VIN for it to work.

For question #2, we may have to take data to get the VDO at 1.1VOUT at 25C and 125C.  Given the Covid-19 situation, this may take some time.

    Does this work for you?
