LM2776: What is the correct orientation? Datasheet is ambiguous

Part Number: LM2776

I'm trying to use an LM2776, but the first one I soldered in to a prototype blew up when given 5v.  Since the fiducials shown in the datasheet do not exist in the actual packaging, I want to make sure that I have the orientation correct:

So pin 1 is the top left in the photograph?  Or do I have the chip backwards?

    Hi Michael,

    I totally understand your concern. This is an old part and the documentation could be sometimes different from the actual package.

    In the photograph attached, top left pin should be Pin 1- Vout.

    Please let me know if you need any further help.
