BQ40Z60EVM-578: the default values

Part Number: BQ40Z60EVM-578
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ40Z60

Dear All,

I am confused.

I was trying to make my own PCB with the BQ40Z60 working but I failed. Because that, I decided to buy the evaluation board, to check if my concept is OK and so on. So far, got the same problems and I still believe my hardware is OK, good news.

I start to study the default parameters. This board is preprogramed for 3 batteries, CHEMID is 1210 (BTW is anyone able to share with the datasheet of this?).

  • Programmed Design voltage is 10800mW, 3 times 3,6V. It is OK.
  • Programmed Design Capacity [mAh] is 4400mAh, first question, in the CEMID list this battery is described as 3650mAh, why then?
  • Programmed Design Capacity [cWh] is 336cWh, it could be 4,8V times 3 times 4400mAh. I yes, what this 4,8V is?

How to calculate and program the design capacity values correctly?
