BQ2013H: Using bq2013h

Part Number: BQ2013H

Hi team,

BQ2013H is a gas gauge for high discharge rates (>10A),my customer want to know if he can use BQ2013H for low discharge rate (< 2A) system, is it OK?

Thank you very much.

  • Hello Yanni,

You can set the sense resistor to a value that would have higher accuracy current readings when using smaller currents, the selection equations are in the datasheet, page 5 has the equation with PFC and page 6 has an example.

The sense range for the pin is on page 16 in DC voltage thresholds.

It should work fine with lower currents as long as the correct sense resistor is chosen.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
