TPS65721: how recover from fault mode

Part Number: TPS65721

Hi,

My device is going fault state during charging, it is not consistent but it occurs in every ~50 charge cycles.  it recovers back once i give a device reset and it is not repeating for next few days.

I am reading the charge state register and it gives 0x0E when it goes to the fault mode.  also other register values are not responding,  for example the charge status register does get updated when connected with the usb charger.

I couldn't find more information on fault mode other than that is given in the data sheet.

what is the correct way to exit from fault mode?

Is it happening because of some wrong configuration?

How can i make sure the device will not goto the fault mode?

Please clarify this last sentence: "for example the charge status register does get updated when connected with the usb charger."

Did you mean "does not get updated"?

Please read all registers before the fault occurs and read all registers after fault occurs and provide the datalog (.csv or .txt) for both scenarios so I can objectively determine the cause of the issue.
