BQ25872: VOUT controll in case of fully discharged battery

My system does not boot in case of battery fully discharge or very low battery status with VUSB supplied.

(EN pin is HIGH, and VUSB is supplied but VOUT does not output.)

Does VOUT does not work in case of battery is fully discharged even though VUSB is valid?

Hi Waveras,

Can you confirm if you are using BQ25872? BQ25872 is a flash charger dedicated for fast charging phase. The system require to have a main charger for pre-charge(deep discahrge battery) , termination, power path and other charger functions.

BQ25898D is recommend main charger which support adapter type detection and power path.
