UCC28810: UCC28810 for single stage with CV

The normal operating mode of almost all PFC controllers is in constant-voltage (CV) mode, whether in non-isolated boost or isolated-flyback. The vast majority of PFC applications use CV regulation.
Highlighting CV control is simply stating the obvious.

For certain LED-driving applications in constant-current (CC) mode, additional circuitry (current sensing and reference, and error-amp over-ride) must be added to accomplish that. This can be done whether the topology is isolated single-stage flyback or non-isolated boost, provided that the error amplifier output is available as a pin on the package.

For a competitor to list CV operation in a bulleted “Features” list is simply a marketing tactic to increase the size of the list.

UCC28810/11 and UCC28050/51 are all normally CV controllers, and can also be CC controllers, isolated or not, depending on how the feedback network is configured.

Yes, all of these controllers can support 150W output power.

For 49W < Pout < 250W, DoE-VI requirement for average efficiency = 88% minimum.

The user guide for reference design PMP4334 https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snvu303/snvu303.pdf?ts=1596642037124&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Freference-designs%252Findex.html indicates that it can achieve > 89% average efficiency.

For your customer's specific design(s), the choice of the power stage components will determine whether it will meet the DoE requirement or not. Low-loss semiconductors and transformer material should be chosen. Too much cost-cutting may result in excessive losses.
