TPS3306: TPS3306 WDI pin trigger condition

Hi Team,

My customer do not want TPS3306 output reset signal during processor start up stage(that means they want to disable watch dog during processor start up stage), we know that if float TPS3306`s WDI pin will disable watch dog, but customer found there processor`s IO(which connect to WDI) is 100kohm pull down during processor start up stage, so could you help to check if 100kohm pull donw at WDI pin will disable watch dog or not?

Hi Sunny,

Using a 100kOhm pull down on the WDI will ground the watchdog input, which in turn will cause the watchdog to keep resetting. You need either a high-impedance input or a true no connect.
