LM76005: when LM76005 Vin less Vo could become bypass mods?

Hi Team,

My customer would like use LM76005 and Vin is Battery.

So,when Vin < Vo  they wand to know  that will into bypass mode?

If not , the device will what states with this situation 

Vin 5~40V 

Vo=5V/5A
