TPS25942A: response time of reverse OCP

Part Number: TPS25942A

Hi Team,

Here are several questions on reverse OCP.

1. what's the response time, that is, the time between reverse OC is detected to the part take actions?

2. what's the time between the part request to turn off the MOS to the MOS is turned off ?

3. in datasheet, it mentioned " if the Vout is above Vin by 10mV for 1us", what's the min value of 1us? And if the time is below 1us, the MOS will not be turned off, right?

Thanks

BRs

  • Hi Given,

Once  a reverse current is detected (after the comparator delay), The device takes action immediately by pulling the Gate low. This typically takes few microseconds of time.

Are you concerned about the -ve current which flows from OUT to IN ?

Can you please reach out to me on email so that I can suggest you with out latest roadmap devices which allow zero reverse current.

  • Hi Given,

I am closing this thread here as per our discussion regarding this offline.
