Hi,

I am using BQ24075T for single Li-Po 3.7V battery. The application is just it is like a battery bank for another single cell battery, I am using its power path Vout pin for another boost controller TPS61230A input to make it 5V.

My doubt is what will be the minimum and maximum Vout voltage when supply is removed from IN pin of BQ24075T. (I do hope it will give battery voltage to Vout directly).

Please suggest me is it a right device for the application.

Hello,

When VIN is absent, VOUT will be battery voltage minus IR drop on the battery FET.

Dear Raheem,

Thanks for your reply, I have selected BQ24072 since I am using 2.7V to 5.5V Boost regulator. The recommended input for the boost IC is from 2.7V to 4.5V. If BQ24075 Vout is 5.5V when Vin is given, boost IC may not work since.
