Hi team,

I saw the TPS23754 datasheet. It recommends 24,9K vaule for RDFN.

May I know if it is ok choose 25K or other vaule?

What does it depend on ?

    Hi Eggsy,

    25k is okay. In the end, the PSE acceptable detection range is 23.75k to 26.25k.

    I recommend 25k if using a full diode bridge or full FET bridge at the PoE front end.

    Some PoE solution use a hybrid Diode+FET bridge, in this case there could be some consumption of current to control the bridge in which case the detection resistor is increased.

    For 25W majority of solutions will use a diode bridge. so a 25k detection resistor is okay.
