TPS27S100: TPS27S100

Part Number: TPS27S100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS1HA08-Q1, TPS1HB08-Q1

Dear Sir, Madam,

I am actually using the TPS27S100 to control the load. We are not usind with a Microcontroller but mor as a E-Fuse to limit the current. Our operating current is at 3.5A and we have set the limit at  4A.  It is actuallly working, but at 3,5A  the boardd becomes too hot. We have checked again and seen that the RDSon is too high. About 100mR. Is there no better replacement with higher current and same pinning? so may be 6A or more wihtout changing our layout. What can you suggest ?  or some with very low RDSon, sodass we can try on the same board

Thank you in Advance.

BR

Gilbert

  • Hi Gilbert,

At this time we do not have an P2P device with TPS27S100 at a lower R_on.

Is it possible for you to use an automotive rated device with different pinning? We do have devices like TPS1HB08-Q1 and TPS1HA08-Q1 that are active at the moment. These devices have an R_on of about 8mOhm.

Thank you for choosing TI Power Switches in your designs.
