Hi Team, We would like to confirm if there are resources to check if the UCC21732 and UCC21750 would fit as a driver for an IGBT driver 450Amps x 1200V half-bridge power module.

    Hi, Mark,

    The first page of the data sheet states:

    3 Description

    The UCC21750 is a galvanic isolated single channel gate driver designed for SiC MOSFETs and IGBTs up to 2121-V DC operating voltage with advanced protection features, best-in-class dynamic performance and robustness. UCC21750 has up to ±10-A peak source and sink current.

    So, yes, it may be used in a 1200V application.

    The driver is capable of drivng +/-10A into the gate. If this is not enough current, please add a buffer as shown in 9.2.2.8 Higher Output Current Using an External Current Buffer of the datasheet.

    Both the UCC21732 and UCC21750 would fit as a driver for an IGBT driver 450A x 1200V half-bridge power module. If you would like further assistance with your design or have any specific concerns please share more details on the application( i.e. IGBT specs)
