Hi support team.

I am considering to add the external precision short protection circuit.

I would like to further reduce the loss when short condition occurs.

Please refer to attached file.

Will it be possible?

Hello

I am not sure that would work. Since when the FB is pulled low the device will go into its max current limit and then hiccup.

You may need to implement a linear current loop to control the current.

In any case you will need to test this very carefully on the bench to ensure it behaves as you wish.

This is best done by using the TI EVM for this device.
