My customer is using LMG1210EVM-012.

He wants to use the LMG1210 to operate the piezo.

in the VOUT, can it makes square waveform as 100V, 5MHz?

Also, The heat generation on the FET side is severe in the EVM, is there any way to improve it?

Hi Robin,

For 100V, 5MHz square wave using the EVM, customer would need to update the FETs with >100V GaN FET as the FETs on the board are "only" rated at 100V.

For this EVM, you may possibly use heat sinks to help with GaN FETs thermals.

On a new board, customer may add more thermal vias in the power stage; minimize board thickness as this directly proportional to thermal resistance; use large and thick top copper layer (larger than the thermal pad area) to minimize thermal resistance.
