Equation 45:
Pd = (Iout² * Rdson * Dmax) + 0.5 * Vin * (tr+tf) * Iout * Fsw
The example shown gives an answer of 2.69W. I calculate 2.69W for the part of the equation that follows (Iout² * Rdson * Dmax). Using the datasheet's numbers:
Pd = (6² * 0.026 * 0.413) + 0.5 * 12 * (0.000000017 + 0.000000017) * 6 * 2200000
Pd = (0.386568) + 2.6928 <-- Here's the 2.69W.
Pd = 3.079368 W
I checked Equation 47, and that looks fine.
