Hi all,
A customer is experiencing a problem with the LM5145 EVM. The board's trim was modified so output power is 24V @ 1A. When the input voltage is raised above ~32V, the device heats up and shuts down.
This EVM is designed to handle 100W, do you have any insight what could cause this device shutdown?
The supply side is at around 36 in these pictures(my camera doesn't line up correctly when I take up-close pictures) with about .23 Amps on the supply side.

The output voltage is 24 V which it isn't what the board was originally set up to do, I used the trim to get it up to that voltage. Looking at your "Webench" there are a few resistors, capacitors, and the Inductor that should be different but I was wondering what specifically I should be looking at as to why it overheats so much.

I'm not very familiar with this but is that what you would expect. I'm going to replace the necessary parts tomorrow and see if it takes care of the issue. I was more interested if all the heat was from the incorrect components, and if this chip set needs to be fine-tuned to run correctly?
