UCC256301: old version 500W LLC EVM request

Part Number: UCC256301
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC256302

Dear engineer,

I saw a UCC256301 500W LLC EVM DESIGN GUIDE months before in TI.com , which has no PFC and supply +-42V. I Need that pdf file for designing. Can you provide me with it? Thanks!

Regards,

Louie,

  • Hi Louie,

I don't believe we ever had a 500W AC direct to LLC with UCC256301 but perhaps this 500W AC direct to LLC design with UCC256302 is what you are looking for:https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP40379

    Best Regards,

    Ben Lough

  • Hello Ben,

Thank you very much! This is exactly what I am looking for!

By the way I still want to confirm if this power supply solution is able to use in China/ EU/ USA at present? Mainly the power factor parameter. If not, how should I modify to make it comply with CN/EU standard?

    Best regards,

    Louie

  • Hi Louie,

Could you share some details about your application and what power factor is needed for your application? We don't have any power factor data for this design unfortunately but due to the absence of active PFC, it's likely much lower than 0.9.

The design itself should functionally work for low line (US) and high line (EU/China). S600 can be shorted or left open to configure for low line input or high line input.

If you know which PF standards are needed for your end equipment, we can assess whether active PFC is needed or perhaps passive PFC is good enough.

    Best Regards,

    Ben Lough
