Hi, Team

We would like to add the corrections that were included in BQ24193 to BQ24166.
The register map of BQ24193 is described in the data sheet, but the register map of BQ24166 is not described in the data sheet.

Is there any document that describes the register map of BQ24166?
If there is no documentation, is the BQ24166 the same register map as the BQ24193?

Hi,

BQ24166 is standalone device, using only external resistors and I/O pins for control and status reporting. It is a different core than BQ24193.

I have one additional question.
I would like to add to the BQ24166 the support I added with the BQ24193. Is it possible?
The correspondence entered in BQ24193 is as follows.

・Initialization processing of charging IC (Initializes REG00 to REG07)

Hi,

I do not understand the question. The BQ24166 has no I2C registers. The charger's internal state machine operates using fixed values for BATREG and resistor set values for VINDPM, ILIM and INDPM. The /CE pin enables and disables charge.

What I want to ask is how to do the same in hardware.
Is it possible to do the following in hardware?

・Initialize the charging IC at startup (REG00 to REG07 initialization)

Hi Kouki,

There is no initialize required. The BQ24166 starts charging as soon as /CE pin goes low.
