Our customers are currently considering using the TPS61032 and I have been asked by them to confirm the schematic.
If you check their schematics, the inductor is 2.7μH.
However, based on the conditions used by the customer (shown below), the calculation using the data sheet below gives 17.7 μH.
*Conditions are considered below.
Vin=VBAT=2.8V
Vout=5V
Iout=0.52A
IL=1.16A
ΔIL=IL×0.1=0.116A
f=600kHz
However, if you check the following notation for the inductor, it is stated that the recommended minimum value of inductance is 2.2 μH.
(However, it is stated that most applications use 6.8 μH.)
Is there any problem when using 2.7μH for the inductor under the above conditions?
Also, if there is any problem, should I change the inductor to 17.7μH or more as calculated instead of 6.8μH?
