I have been inquired regarding changed spec of long term stability Spec in datasheet from my customer.

What the reason for difference of long term stability on VSSOP package between Rev_H and Rev_I?

Hi Higa,

It is a combination of improved testing methods and making sure the current datasheet reflects the current silicon performance since the rev H data was from the original characterization. This is currently only for the VSSOP.

I have a additional question.

Is the test method improvement only applicable to VSSOP?
Does that mean that other packages have the same data as before as a result of the same new test method?

Hi Higa,

We plan to run the REF50xx in SOIC8 to see what the current silicon has. Sadly these due to limited resources and how long the test take, I will not have the updated LTD for SOIC8 soon. I expect it to drop by at least 1/3-1/2 if it follows the improvements the VSSOP had.
