TPS62177: TPS62177: Power Good Informations

Part Number: TPS62177

Dir Sir or Madam,

on my board i use the TPS62177 and a STM32 Microcontroller.

I use the PowerGood of the TPS62177 to reset the µC.

The µC needs a minimum reset time of 300ns to reset correctly.

Unfortunately there is no timing information in the data sheet of TPS62177 about the low signal of PG. Can you tell me how long the minimum low swtiching time is on PG at TPS62177 ? (voltage-drop below power-good theshold voltage falling)

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards

Franz

  • Franz,

As the PG circuitry has 96% rising and 90% falling thresholds (typical), the PG output will be pulled low once the output voltage falls below 90%, and it will remain low until the output voltage rises back above 96% of the regulation voltage.  Thus, the duration of a low PG pulse will be determined based on how long it takes the output voltage to recover from <90% to >96% of regulation.

    Sincerely,

    -Matt
