LMR16010: Input voltage ripple while operating in dropout

Part Number: LMR16010

I am using the LMR16010 and intentionally operating in dropout - I set the target output voltage higher than the input voltage.

I have a 2200uF capacitor connected to the output voltage.

My input supply comes from a full-wave rectifier and has about 1-2V of an AC component, at about 20 Hz (so, input goes from about 5V - 7V).  Since I am operating in dropout, the capacitor discharges backwards through the regulator (through the HS switch) when the input voltage is dropping, and is charged up when the input voltage is rising.

This ripple current is, at most, 500mA.

I assume that something similar would happen even if the regulator is being used "normally", when input power is removed and the input voltage decays below the output voltage, except it would be a one-time event, rather than a constant ripple.

Is this a problem?
