Hi ,

As the EPC2001 GaN FET is able to source 25 A . 

What are the changes required to do in this EVM to get 25A current out.

  • Hi Ganesh,

    Due to thermal limitation, the EVM is limited to 100V, 10A max current. 

    For operation above 10A, you will considerations thermal management techniques including additional heat sinks, forced air, and significantly reducing the switching frequency to limit the power dissipation.

    You will also need to update the inductor and other components as L1 on the board is 4.7uH, 10.5-A inductor.

    Thanks for your reply. I want to use this solution for Core supply of Zynq MPSoC. its 0.75VDC/23 A.

    I want to use the buck above 10MHz switching . can you suggest me some solution.

  • GaN solution should be better as it fits all other needs. Apart from it can you connect me to any APP engineer which is expert in GaN design so i can forward him my Power tree.
