TPS55065-Q1: VIN_start up

Part Number: TPS55065-Q1

Hi sir,

A customer want to select a boost/buck converter have the VIN_start up less than 4.5V.

Input 4.5V~36V

output 5V

I found TPS55065-Q1 looks good.

can TPS55065-Q1 meet my application?

I read the datasheet. V(driver) Start-up condition voltage= Max 5V.

if the Input Operating Range is 1.5V, can this device start up?

But from the description of  the chapter 7.4.5 in datasheet, it should be MIN 5V.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

7.4.5 Extension of the Input Voltage Range on V(driver)

To ensure a stable 5-V output voltage with the output load in the specified range, the V(driver) supply must be greater than or equal to 5 V for greater than 1 ms (typical). After a period of 1 ms (typical), the logic may be supplied by the VOUT regulator and the V(driver) supply may be capable of operating down to 1.5 V.
The switched-mode regulator does not start at V(driver) less than 5 V.

can you clarify it? or give me some suggestion on product selection.

Thanks.

Regards,
