LM2842-Q1: Do we have the Vibration and Mechanical Shock Test?

Part Number: LM2842-Q1

Dear team,

Do we test below items marked by red box? If so, where can I find the test data? I didn't find it in the datasheet.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Sherry

  • Hello Sherry,

Let me check with our team. I hope to give you an update sometime tomorrow.

    Cheers,
    Denislav

  • Sherry: The "Q1" suffix for this device indicates that it is an automotive grade IC that is qualified to AEC-Q100.

AEC-Q100 has these 2 tests mentioned under group G reliability tests but different standards for running. However, they are only run for automotive ICs if they are "cavity packages". This LM2842-Q1 device is a plastic encapsulated IC so the tests are not required to be run for a component qualification. More importantly the plastic encapusulation gives robustness to these environments.

Many of of automotive customers have been running system level tests with our ICs mounted on the PCBs that include vibration tests. We have had no reported issues from this.
