LMR36006-Q1: Is LMR36006-Q1 a better choice than LM46000-Q1

Part Number: LMR36006-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM46000-Q1, LMR36006

Hi,

I am working on a design to covert 12/24V DC battery to 6~7V, then through a LDO to 5V to power a MCU. I find out that both LMR36006-Q1 and LM46000-Q1 meet the requirement. It is for auto application with ambient temperature up to 100C. The targeted output current is 300 mA. I am wondering whether LMR36006-Q1 is a replacement for LM46000-Q1? It seems that LMR36006 is smaller and cheaper. Pros and Cons of both parts?

Thanks,

John
