Here is Kevin from Delta Taiwan.

Customer is using UC3842 as current mode controller.

If customer want voltage mode controller, which one will you suggest?

Is UC2809 ok?

There is also LM5025 family as voltage mode controller with active clamp.

But I think the device is too old and to expensive compare to UC3842.

If you have further recommendation is appreciated!

Hi,

For the past 15 to 20 years, current mode controller have been quite dominant. Since active clamp forward was created, single ended forward is more on ACF. The single ended forward voltage mode became less popular.

I do not know newer controllers of voltage mode control.
