UCC28220: Operating Junction vs Temp Range

Part Number: UCC28220
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28221

Hey folks,

I have a question regarding the UCC28220 and the UCC28221. The datasheet lists the operating junction temp range from -55C - 150C. However, al the high level summaries indicate that the temperature range is from -40C - 105C. Can you clarify which is applicable and under what conditions?

Thanks,

AH

  • Hi,

The temperature range of -40C to 105C is for the specifications. The temperature range of -55C to -40C and 105C to 150C is to allow the device still ok to operate without damage, but may not follow the specs exactly. So you should make design with temperature range of -40C to 105C.
