TPS51117: DC-DC buck recommended

Hi All,

I was looking for a Buck meet these requirements:

  1. Vin= 4V-28V
  2. Vout =3.5V
  3. Iout= 4A , peak Iout=8A

For Vin=28V,Vout=3.5V, the duty is 12.5%

For Vin=4V,Vout=3.5V, the duty is 87.5%

Can TPS51117 meet these requirement?

Is there any other device fit this situation?

    Hi Allen

    I'm not sure if TPS51117 can support 87.5% duty at 8A loading with high switching frequency, due to the limit of its min off time.

    Do you have requirement for the switching frequency? You can give a range or a certain value and I can check it on bench.

    For your specific requirements, I haven't found other single channel buck controller/converter solution available until now. Since some of my colleagues are in day off today, I'll double check with them and give you feedback next Monday.
