BQ24095: Not able to power cut off after battery is full charged....

Part Number: BQ24095
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24072

Hello,

I am use STM32l051 controller.

In my project I am use rechargeable 18500 Li-ion battery having 3.7V and 1400mAh capacity and for battery monitoring I am use BQ24095 fuel gauge.

For charging a battery I am use SD-05050100 charger and below I attached datasheet of charger and for charge controller I am use BQ24072RGTR IC.

Fine 3.5 mm CHARGER.pdf

In the charger there is LED which is indicate charging status so in that when we charge battery at that time red LED is on and when battery is getting fully charged at this time red LED is convert into green LED.

My problem is some times after the battery is fully charged but in the charger red and green LED is blink. One more thing I am not able to charged battery up to 4.2voltage means power is cut off when fuel gauge is getting 4.1 voltage.

So give me some solution how to resolve full charging indication on charger and how to charge battery up to 4.2v?

For reference I attached schematic of charging circuit and fuel gauge,

So please help me to solve below problem as soon as possible.

Thanks & regards,

  • Hi Urvisha,

    Welcome to E2E.

Taking a look at the charge controller (BQ24072), I do not see any major issues. You mentioned LEDs but I do not see any on the charge controller or the battery fuel gauge (BQ27441). Are the LEDs on the SD-05050100?

What is the voltage at the battery pin on the BQ24072 when the gauge shows 4.1V?
