BQ24166: Minimum Battery Voltage

Hi, 

Our customer is using the BQ24166 and they want to know if there is a minimum battery voltage at which the BQ24166RGER will not initiate charging at?  For example, will the chip still begin charging if the battery voltage is under 2V? And is that a settable value?

    Hi Cedrick,

    As shown on datasheet page 14 figure 20, the charger auto lowers the charge current to IBATSHORT = 50mA when the battery voltage is below VBATSHORT = 3.0V typical.  The VBATSHORT value is fixed.
