UCC29002: UCC29002+TPS2412 for Current Sharing in Redundant System - 12V/20A

Part Number: UCC29002
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2412

Dear All,

it's me again, still struggling with redundant supply solution with TPS2412 & UCC29002.

The target is 12V/20A redundant power rail. From 2*I6A4W020A033V-001-R from TDK.

Here is the sch related to this (also attached as pdf [04] - Power Supply Paralleling.pdf) :

Symptoms :

  • At low current (les than 30mA ~) both DCDC output are not stable
  • With output current increasing, one DCDC randomly (when restarting the system, same DCDC or the other) power the output, and the second continue sweeping its output.
    • The output rail is then only powered by one DCDC when the other is trying to reach a stable state without success.

Any idea to solve this issue will be appreciate.

Thanks
