TPS62260: Damage of internal low side MOSFET

If the internal low side MOSFET is destroyed and the output terminal and GND are short-circuited, what are the possible causes?

Hi Kato,

There are several reasons for the FET to get damaged.

Firstly, please check if the design is as per the datasheet recommendations.

Please ensure the recommended operating conditions are not violated.

If you can provide more details on the application like schematic, measurement plots, etc., it will be easier to debug.

Hi Kato,

Please check if the Absolute maximum ratings given in the datasheet are exceeded. Please check for all pins especially at the SW pin.
