TPS63031: TPS63031DSK

Part Number: TPS63031

TPS63031DSK buck DCDC, this DCDC output voltage is fixed 3.3V, the load is ST company's stm32l151, because of the strict power consumption requirements, so the stm32l151 power supply voltage consistency requirements are high.

1、have made 50 boards this time. Among the 50 boards, the minimum output voltage of tps63031dsk is 3.29v, the maximum is 3.41v, and most boards are 3.36-3.39v.

2、The input terminal of tps63031dsk is a lithium battery with a maximum voltage of 3.6V. At present, we have tested the input voltage from 3.4V to 3.6V.

3、Is the float of the above output within normal range?

4、The following is the schematic diagram. How to adjust it to ensure output consistency?

  • Hi Ping,

I think your testing results are based on light load, thus TPS63031 works in PSM and the results are in tolerance range(-3%~+6%) as shown below.

If you need better consistency, the best way is to disable PSM and use only PWM, of which the tolerance is 1%. If stm32l151 consumed more than 50mA, the weakness of efficiency in PWM is not obvious. It depends on your load. And why does strict power consumption requirements need high supply voltage consistency?

And if you need to adjust working mode, R125 should not be 0 and R117 could be removed for less consumption.
