Hi,

When output current is small, RPRL is calculated negative value as below and attached.

How should I set RPRL in this case?

Or, is small current not allowed?

If the tool calculates a negative pre-load the design may not need it.

Mike-san,

I have an additional question.

The following is your comment on another thread.

"A pre-load resistor is need so the design stay in regulation under no load conditions. Generally 2 mA of preload is enough. "

Is eliminating RPRL allowed?

Hello Kuramochi,

I have always used it in my designs with PSR control. I would leave a place holder for it anyway.
