Hi, TI expert

I have an inquiry regarding BQ25302.

In the case of EN pin(6pin), it is stated that the device is disabled when the EN pin is pulled to HI.

Then, if you connect EN pin (6pin) to GND, is the charger ON?

Hi Leo,

EN depends on the status of POL pin as well. If POL is HIGH (or floating) then charge is enabled with EN is low (or floating). If POL is pulled to GND, then EN should be pulled HIGH to enable charge.

If EN is High, isn't it inactive?

Is the state of the EN pin reversed depending on the state of the POL pin?

So, can I connect EN to GND and handle N.C (Not Connect) POL pin?

Then, is the charger on?

Hi Leo,

Yes, the POL or polarity pin changes the polarity of EN from active low or active high. Float POL (has internal pull up) and float EN (has internal pulldown) for charge to always be on. This reduces external components and layout size.
