LM317: RθJC(bot) Clarification

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Just like to confirm if the Junction-to-case(bottom) thermal resistance of 0.1 °C/W for the KCS (TO-220) package of LM317 is correct and not just a typo error?

Hi Art,

According to the thermal model request for this device the thermal resistances are not typos. However, the thermal analysis team did note that 0.1C/W does seem low for the KCS package.

If you discover that the metrics in the datasheet are inaccurate, please let us know so we can update the datasheet.
